  • Comprised of duo Chris Dodge (No Use for a Name) and Dave Witte (Discordance Axis, Municipal Waste, Anodyne, Birds of Prey, Phantomsmasher), East West Blast Test's Popular Music for Unpopular People is a cross-country collaboration (Witte and Dodge live on separate coasts) akin to something Fantômas might put out - xylophones, death metal guitars, and this strange German spoken word track.

5. Song: Deep In the Woods , Artist: T Cells , Album: Release the Bats: The Birthday Party as Heard Through the Meat Grinder of Three One G (Three One G)
  • From opener Cattle Decapitation's rendition of "Sonny's Burning" to closer Some Girls' "Release the Bats" (fitting that they would play the title track if you consider their popularity when this came out), Release the Bats is an excellent compilation tribute to The Birthday Party (Nick Cave's first band; see also: Grinderman). Only a few duds here, with highlights coming from the likes of Melt Banana ("Faint Heart"), The Chinese Stars ("The Plague", which previously aired in Episode #22), Error ("Wild World"), Celebration ("King Ink"; ex-Love Life), Kill Me Tomorrow ("Junkyard"), Daughters (see below), the aforementioned tracks from Cattle Decap and Some Girls, as well as this nauseating little ditty from T Cells that'll make your stomach swim.

7. Song: Humanshields , Artist: Drumcorps , Album: Rmx or Die (Kriss)
